  • How long will my fittings last? How many fittings will I need?
    Our standard fitting appointment lasts for about 20-30 minutes based on the average garment alteration. If you have several garments we may need more timing to do your fitting and ensure you are satisfied. The number of fittings required depends on the complexity of your garment and the alterations needed. Typically, we aim for one fitting and then proceed to your garment's final try-on and pick-up. However, in some cases, a second fitting may be necessary along with additional alterations.
  • What alterations can be made to my garment?
    The alterations that can be made to your garment depend on your specific needs and preferences. We offer a wide range of services, including but not limited to: Adjusting fit, hemming, sleeve alterations, darting, lining repair or replacement, repairs and patching, customizations, and more! To determine the alterations needed for your garment, we recommend scheduling a fitting and consultation. We'll assess your garment and discuss your preferences to provide tailored recommendations for achieving your ideal look and fit.
  • What should I bring with me to my fitting?
    When coming in for your fitting appointment, it's helpful to bring the following items with you: 1. The Garment to be Altered: Please bring the specific clothing item that you would like to have altered. 2. Undergarments: Wear the undergarments or shape-wear that you intend to pair with the garment. This ensures that the alterations take into account the fit with your preferred under-layers. 3. Shoes: If your garment involves alterations to the length, such as hemming pants or a dress, bring the shoes you plan to wear with it. This helps our fitter determine the appropriate length for your garment. 4. Accessories: If you have accessories, such as a belt or jewelry, that you plan to wear with the garment, it can be helpful to bring them along to see how they complement the final look. 5. Other Comparable Garments: If you have specific preferences from other garments for how you want the garment to fit or look after alterations, feel free to bring them to the fitting. This helps us understand your vision and tailor the alterations accordingly but please note, different brands have different cuts/fits which may not be possible to mimic onto other garments.
  • How far in advance should I schedule my fitting? Do you offer rush services?
    You can book an appointment as far in advance as you'd like. We recommend you come in as soon as you know you need alterations so that we do not have to rush anything! However, we understand that sometimes we need things done quickly! We will do our best to accommodate rush requests and the team we will with you transparently on what can be done.
  • How do I book a mobile fitting and alteration service?
    You can book a mobile service by simply sending us an email to rmsclothingservices@gmail.com or calling us at 437-979-9208
  • Do you do same day alterations?
    It all varies upon the requested alteration. Nonetheless, we will be happy to see if we can accommodate. Same day alterations are subjected to rush fees.
  • Where are you located?
    We take our appointments and fittings at our home in Brampton but we can also come to you! Ask us about our mobile services.
